Convention centre to boost SA economy

South Australia is expecting a near $2 billion return on its $397 million redevelopment of the Adelaide Convention Centre.

The final stage of the redevelopment has opened and Premier Jay Weatherill says the centre will attract greater investment in SA and create 1200 ongoing jobs.

“Our investment in the expansion and renewal of the Adelaide Convention Centre is expected to bring an extra $1.92 billion into the state’s economy over the next 25 years,” the premier said.
