NBN report calls for drastic changes to technology used for roll out – PM

Drastic changes are being recommended to the technology used to roll out the National Broadband Network, it’s the key recommendation of a report out today from a parliamentary inquiry into the project.

It’s also called for a full audit of the project’s financial assumptions and warned of the potential for low-income and rural areas to miss out on higher speeds that will be available in wealthier regions.

A dissenting report written by the minority of government members has, however, dismissed such claims.
