DUBLIN–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The “Q2,
2017 Extended Care Medical Supply Utilization Trends” report
has been added to Research and Markets’ offering.
The Extended Care Acuity-Weighted index shows moderate expansion in Q2
2017. However, this expansion has slowed, falling 7.8 points to 24.9.
Slowed expansion in Q2 is attributed to lower admissions and occupancy
than in Q1.
Southeast and Northwest regions do not follow national trends. Both
regions experienced increased index expansion in Q2.
Review by facility size (measured by number of beds) shows facilities
of all sizes in-line with national trends. All three groups had slowed
expansion in Q2. However, larger facilities (150+ beds) continue to
outpace their smaller counterparts.
