A RISLEY-BASED technology company MPP Global has signed a deal with the third largest publisher in the US.
The contract has been signed with McClatchy, America’s third largest publisher, who operate 31 newspaper titles, including the Miami Herald, in 29 states.
MPP Global delivers eSuite, an advanced eCommerce platform which helps clients to retail digital content and products.
Founded in 2000, MPP Global now has six offices in five different countries, with bases open in New York, Japan, Australia and South Africa.
The company’s international success started to grow following support from the Department for International Trade (DIT) in the north west.
This included providing financial assistance to help MPP global attend international conferences such as the National Association of Broadcasters conference in Las Vegas and trade missions to New York and Philadelphia.
Karen Holden, MPP Global’s international trade advisor at DIT, put MPP Global in touch with legal experts, signposted the company to reputable recruiters, and liaised with the British Consulate General on MPP Global’s behalf.
Chief executive officer at MPP Global Paul Johnson said: “The help we received from DIT has been invaluable in supporting our growth plans by opening our eyes to the possibilities of expanding internationally and helping to make our plans a reality.
“Our adviser, Karen has consistently offered us help, advice, and encouragement along the way and we know that we can rely on her if we ever need more help again.’’
Acting regional director Paul Stowers added that it was a great example of the success specialist providers can achieve overseas with their support.
