Belarusian dictator Aliaksandr Lukashenka ordered his specialists to find out whether there are rare earth metals in the country. According to him, this is now “the most hot topic”, BelTA reports.
“They say that we have rare earth minerals in our waste dumps. We need to explore other things: chemistry, oil, gas, and all that. I set a corresponding task for the relevant minister… This is the future. We need to dig, we need to see what we have in the ground,” he said.
Lukashenka also said that geological exploration in Belarus is at a low level, and Belarusian specialists do not study the topic of searching for rare earth metals. According to him, “only Trump in the United States of America mentions rare earth metals.”
“There are never many of them in the ground. Maybe we have no less than others?” — Lukashenka asked officials.
