A statement from the Government follows below:

Minister John Cortes, who has responsibility for infrastructure, held the quarterly coordination meeting on Thursday to discuss and coordinate work on Gibraltar’s major projects.

Present at the meeting were the Government’s Chief Technical Officer, the Commander British Forces, and the heads of the Technical Services Department, Department of the Environment, the Gibraltar Electricity Authority, AquaGib, and Gibtelecom, along with their respective team members.

Matters discussed included the sewage transfer scheme and sewage treatment plant, rationalisation of infrastructure on the Upper Rock, improvements to the water distribution system, and the works around the frontier.
