OwlTing’s cross-border stablecoin payments surge fivefold

Payment volume on OwlTing Group’s OwlPay Harbor cross-border stablecoin platform grew more than fivefold in the second quarter, and July monthly volume reached a record high.

Total cumulative processed payment volume across OwlPay surpassed USD $600 million by the end of June. That figure includes both fiat and stablecoin transactions across the broader platform, while OwlPay Harbor focuses on cross-border business payments.

The figures suggest rapid growth for a company expanding in a segment of the payments market where businesses use stablecoins to settle international invoices and deliver local currency to suppliers. Volume on OwlPay Harbor has increased every month since the platform began scaling in early 2026.

By the end of June, OwlPay Harbor had 67 enterprise clients. Volume in the first three weeks of July had already exceeded the total for all of June.

Trade routes

OwlPay Harbor addresses a common cross-border payment problem: a buyer in one country needs to pay a supplier in another, but traditional bank transfers can be slow and expensive. The platform lets the payer send funds in US dollars or stablecoins while the recipient receives local currency.

This model is most relevant in markets where access to US dollars is limited or banking rails remain fragmented. Businesses using OwlPay Harbor are concentrated in the Middle East, Africa, and Asia.

Asia is emerging as a particular source of activity. OwlTing highlighted a corridor in which importers in markets including the US pay manufacturers and wholesalers in China and Hong Kong for physical goods, with suppliers receiving local currency in Asia.

That focus reflects the payment routes OwlTing says it has built into major trade destinations in Asia. Mainland China, India, and Japan are expected to become more important contributors to volume, although no timeline was provided beyond the coming quarters.

Regulated footprint

OwlTing said its US coverage spans 42 states. It also cited a Virtual Asset Service Provider registration in Poland and an Electronic Payment Service Operator, or Bank API, licence in Japan.

The company is presenting that footprint as part of a regulated network for moving money across borders in both fiat currencies and stablecoins. For cross-border payments providers, regulatory coverage and local payout arrangements are often central to delivering funds reliably in the destination market.

Darren Wang, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of OwlTing Group, outlined the company’s view of the market shift.

“Stablecoins are moving from speculation toward infrastructure,” said Darren Wang, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of OwlTing Group. “Businesses are using them to pay suppliers across borders, in the currency the supplier actually uses, in corridors where traditional banking has long been slow and expensive. The hardest part is the last mile, which means getting money into the destination reliably and within the rules, and that is where we have focused.”

Revenue link

OwlTing earns a fee on each payment processed through the platform, linking transaction growth directly to business performance. The latest update appears intended to show that growth in stablecoin-based payments is translating into broader real-world use among business customers, rather than remaining confined to crypto trading activity.

The company operates under the OwlTing brand as OBOOK Holdings. It describes itself as a global fintech group founded in Taiwan, with subsidiaries across the US, Japan, Poland, Singapore, Hong Kong, Thailand, and Malaysia.

The latest payment figures come as fintech groups and established payments companies test whether stablecoins can reduce the cost of international transfers for businesses trading across multiple currencies. The challenge has often been less about the digital token itself than about converting funds into local currency at the receiving end in a compliant and dependable way.
