Founded by Sunil Singhania, Abakkus brings together deep market experience and a research-led approach to investing. At the heart of its investment process is its proprietary MEETS framework – Management, Earnings, Events/Trends, Timing and Structural, which enables the investment team to assess businesses from multiple perspectives while keeping fundamentals at the centre of decision-making, the press release further added.
“Believe in the Basics” also shapes the way Abakkus seeks to build relationships- through transparency, trust and a partnership mindset. Investors, distribution partners, employees and other stakeholders have each contributed differently to the journey to Rs 10,000 crore. Their strengths are different; their faith in the journey is shared, the release further stated.
“Rs 10,000 crore is an important milestone for us, but what gives the number meaning is the trust behind it. Our investors, distribution partners and every member of the Abakkus team have brought different strengths to this journey. What unites us is a shared faith in what we are building together,” said Vaibhav Chugh, CEO, Abakkus Mutual Fund.“As we enter the next phase of our journey, the principles that brought us here will remain unchanged: Conviction, Discipline and Transparency and No Shortcuts. Markets will change. Opportunities will change. Our scale may change. But the basics will not.”
“We also recognise the responsibility that comes with growth. Our focus now is on expanding our reach, deepening our partner network and building a well-diversified product bouquet suited to varied investment needs. At the same time, we will continue to embrace technology, build enduring partnerships and stay future-ready, without losing sight of the principles that define the way we invest. Believe in the Basics remains at the heart of that journey,” Chugh further said.
Abakkus Mutual Fund house has a total AUM of Rs 10,056 crore as of 13-August-2026 with over 1.91 lakh investors across 2,006 locations and 12,741 pin codes. The fund house manages three equity schemes across the Flexi Cap Fund, Small Cap Fund & Large & Mid Cap Fund categories, along with a Liquid Fund.
“It is deeply satisfying to see the journey reach this milestone, and equally exciting to think about what lies ahead. Our growth has been anchored in a strong focus on fundamentals, disciplined execution and a long-term investment mindset,” said Sanjay Doshi, Head of Investments & Research, Abakkus Mutual Fund.
“From the beginning, we have placed considerable emphasis on rigorous research, robust risk management and investment processes that are clear, simple and well-defined. This discipline helps us identify enduring businesses at reasonable valuations, invest with appropriate conviction and, importantly, maintain a strong focus on risk.”
“Milestones are moments to acknowledge progress, but they are also reminders of the responsibility entrusted to us. As we grow, we will endeavour to preserve the depth and discipline that have shaped our investment approach from day one.”
Doshi further said that, “The Rs 10,000 crore milestone is therefore not the story of one individual, one team or one strength. It is a collective journey made possible by the trust of many- investors, partners and people, each contributing in different ways, yet united by a shared faith in what Abakkus is building together.”
In May 2026, the fund house announced that it had crossed Rs 5,000 crore in AUM, with a total unique investor count of 1 lakh, marking a sharp increase in assets in just over three months.
