PNB MetLife India Insurance Company has introduced the PNB MetLife Nifty 500 Momentum 50 Index Fund, expanding its Unit-Linked Insurance Plans (ULIPs) offerings. The new fund aims to help policyholders leverage market momentum by tracking the top 50 high-momentum stocks from the Nifty 500 Index.

The fund is available at an initial unit price of ₹10 per unit till February 28, 2025.

It can be accessed through PNB MetLife’s ULIP plans, including Smart Platinum Plus, TULIP, Goal Ensuring Multiplier, and Mera Wealth Plan. For policies issued after February 28, the prevailing NAV will apply.

The fund targets market-linked returns by selecting stocks that have demonstrated strong price performance over the past 6 to 12 months. It provides exposure across large-cap, mid-cap, and small-cap segments, with stocks selected based on momentum-driven criteria and rebalanced semi-annually to align with market trends.

Sanjay Kumar, Chief Investment Officer, PNB MetLife, said, “The fund enables long-term wealth creation by focusing on stocks with sustained momentum, offering a transparent investment strategy.”

The fund aims to cater to the growing interest in passive strategies, adjusting based on market shifts, and providing a well-diversified portfolio for long-term wealth creation. As of December 2024, the benchmark index had ~35% Large Cap, ~50% Mid Cap, and ~15% Small Cap stocks.
