The White Lotus may have come to a dramatic (isn’t it always?) and slightly baffling end – don’t worry, we promise *no spoilers* ahead – but one thing that will carry on long after the season three finale is our love for Aimee Lou Wood. She stole our hearts as Chelsea, dressed throughout the series in a never-ending carousel of laid-back, cool-girl outfits that was all in all a to-die-for holiday wardrobe. IRL, her style is just as dreamy, if significantly different from her on-screen alter ego.
Take her most recent look. To attend an event celebrating the season finale of the HBO show alongside her castmates, Aimee arrived in a silver chainmail mini dress. From the simple shift silhouette to the micro hemline and metallic fabrication, the ensemble was giving peak ‘90s fashion vibes. A detail emphasised by the fact the actress went braless in the dress, too.
Aimee added sheer black tights and barely there silver heeled sandals to complete the look, with just two silver rings worn on her pointer fingers as her only accessories. She did later add a blazer on top and was photographed holding the layer slung over one shoulder.
It seems Aimee and her stylist, Felicity Kay, have constructed an outfit formula for the actor that consists of classic minimal pieces that ooze chic sophistication. Take Aimee’s outfit for the premiere of The White Lotus season three back in February, for example.
At first glance, the custom Burberry design was a conventional strapless gown in an on-trend burgundy hue and elevated with ruffle adornments. Upon closer look, however, the pattern decorating the entire dress that could have initially been mistaken as an abstract print is actually hundreds of crystals creating the outline of multiple repeating foxes. Obsessed!
Similarly, for The Royal Television Society Programme Awards 2025 held in London in March, Aimee again opted for a simple black gown but looked to the addition of a quirky detail to enhance her overall attire – this time, in the form of an oversized geometric pendant forming part of the dress’s neckline.
Even off-duty, Aimee’s style is more of the same. She was spotted out and about in New York earlier this month rocking two outfits we’re planning to recreate head-to-toe. The first saw her pair a black patent trench coat with tights, ankle socks and ballet flats for a preppy twist.
She followed it up with what can only be described as a masterclass in layering, wearing a white t-shirt under a black cardigan with a leather jacket added on top for good measure. Mid-wash blue jeans in one of this season’s trending denim silhouettes, worn with a black leather belt featuring a statement silver buckle, kept things casual on her bottom half.
Pointed-toe heeled loafers with white socks and a white shoulder bag stuck to the monochromatic colour palette. Her only other accessory came from Mejuri’s Jojo Double Hoops, a subtle but oh-so-chic finishing touch that tapped into the mixed metal jewellery trend.
With no more The White Lotus promo promising an Aimee Lou Wood red carpet appearance, safe to say we’re keeping our fingers crossed for more ALW style inspo ASAP.
