As Geneva Watch Days approaches, Angelus has unveiled its latest offering: the Chronodate Titanium Magnetic Silver Edition. This new watch is a blend of ultra-sporty design and classy styling, attempting to capture Angelus’ historic legacy while pushing the boundaries of modern watchmaking.
A Modern Take on a Classic Design

The watch features a multi-structured modular case with a rigid yet lightweight carbon composite container that houses the movement. The open-worked cradle that unites the case middle and lugs creates a smooth transitional design, it’s also equipped with a bezel that has twelve indents or you could say extroverted notches. This design is complemented by chamfered profiles and alternating straight and curved lines, giving the Chronodate a rather sporty feel. The titanium bracelet, with its vintage-inspired wide links, is created to be both modern in construction and incredibly comfortable for long periods of wear.

The Chronodate series pays homage to Angelus’ origins as a leading chronograph manufacturer in the mid-20th century. The new Chronodate Titanium features large, legible counters in metallic black with a snailed texture. The dial, finished in “Magnetic Silver” with a fine matte sunray-brushed effect, is accented by applied hour markers and Arabic numerals inspired by the 1940s.
Powering this timepiece is Angelus’ in-house A-500 caliber, a chronograph movement with small seconds at 9 o’clock, a 30-minute totalizer at 3 o’clock, and a pointer-type date display around the dial’s periphery. The movement operates at 4 Hz and features a self-winding system driven by an oscillating weight, echoing the brand’s archival design with a capital letter “A” above a star, symbolizing a bell and its clapper.
