Bridgewater (China) Investment Management Co. Ltd. (BCIM), the China subsidiary of U.S. hedge fund giant Bridgewater Associates LP, is expected to appoint a new portfolio manager, sources close to the firm told Caixin.
Zhang Duan will take over the role from Joanna Alpert next month, according to the sources.
Zhang graduated from Yale University in 2013 with a bachelor’s degree in economics, and worked for investment firm Cambridge Associates for two years before joining Bridgewater in 2015, according to his LinkedIn profile.
