The Royal Mint released a batch of special-edition crown coins to mark Charles and Diana’s wedding in 1981.
They feature an image of the pair, with their names and the year engraved around the outside.
Queen Elizabeth II is shown on the other face.
The coins are not considered rare, but royalists or devoted collectors are often willing to pay over the odds to get their hands on one.

With this in mind, an eBay seller based in Norwich recently listed theirs for sale for £10,836.72.
The Big C charity, which supports people across Norfolk who are affected by cancer, has now followed suit by listing a collection of three of the coins for sale via auction on its eBay page.
But a spokesman clarified that they are not expecting people to offer a “staggering” five-figure sum.
They are instead offering the trio of coins in an auction with a starting bid of just £7.50.
“We, of course, would love a bid in excess of £30,000 for the three coins!” he joked.
“But we would settle for any reasonable amount, given we are a charity.”
