Reports of metal wires found inside of the frozen meat lead to the recall.
Perdue has recalled frozen, ready-to-eat chicken products that possibly contain foreign metals, according to the United States Department of Agriculture’s Food Safety and Inspection Service, FSIS.
The following have been recalled, according to a press release published by the agency:

Perdue is recalling 167,171 pounds of chicken, stated the FSIS announcement that was made on Aug. 16.
The chicken, which has the establishment number P-33944, was sold in stores across the country and sold directly to customers online.
What led to the recall?
The recall came after there were several complaints of “metal wire embedded in the product,” stated the FSIS.
No injuries or adverse reactions have been reported.
What to do if you have the product:
The FSIS recommends consumers either throw the chicken away or return it to where it was purchased for a refund.
