Rebecca Curtis is plotting a Cheltenham Gold Cup campaign for Haiti Couleurs, the Irish Grand National winner she hopes “proves to people that I can still do the job”.
She had also won the National Hunt Chase with the improving eight-year-old, landing the sixth Cheltenham Festival victory of her career, but admits it is hard for a smaller trainer to compete with the big yards nowadays.
“It’s really difficult for me,” said Curtis, whose Pembrokeshire yard was represented on course by just 24 different horses in 2024-25.
