Tom Brady made sure that Travis Kelce and Patrick Mahomes weren’t going to outdo him with their outfits for the Super Bowl in New Orleans on Sunday.
The Fox analyst, who was calling his first Super Bowl since starting his 10-year, $375million deal as a broadcaster, went viral for his flashy gold watch before the start of the game.
Brady, 47, has endured some tough times in his debut season as an analyst, with many fans saying he struggles to convert his undoubted knowledge of the game into snappy, real-time insight.
But they were all commending him for how sharp he looked ahead of the game in New Orleans, thanks to his flamboyant gold watch.
It wasn’t immediately clear what the timepiece was that Brady was wearing on Sunday. Some fans thought it was a $600,000 Caviar Tourbillon Jacob &Co watch but it later emerged that it was a special Yellow Sapphire Caviar Tourbillon, worth $740,000.
The piece has 49 carats, along with 338 brilliant-cut diamonds. Benjamin Arabov, CEO of Jacob & Co. said in a press release reported by Page Six: ‘Tom Brady is the epitome of excellence, both on and off the field.

In October last year, Brady put a large part of his personal watch collection up for auction, with 41 items selling for just over $9million.
The collection was titled ‘The GOAT Collection’, referencing Brady’s record seven Super Bowl rings that make him widely considered to be the greatest player in the history of the NFL.
Brady’s appearance on Fox comes after a week of unrest in his personal life, with his ex-wife Gisele Bundchen giving birth to a baby she had with her jiu-jitsu instructor.
The Brazilian supermodel already shares daughter Vivian Lake, 11, and son Benjamin Rein, 15, with ex-husband Brady.
A report emerged earlier in the week that Brady ‘wishes her nothing but the best’ after learning the news that she had given birth at the age of 44.The couple announced their divorce in October 2022 after 13 years of marriage.
As for the game itself, the Chiefs endured a night of sheer humiliation as the Eagles rampaged to a 40-22 triumph. The scoreline, while still empathic, makes it sound closer than it was for Kansas City on what was an absolute nightmare in New Orleans.
If the Chiefs had won on Sunday, Brady’s record seven titles would have been placed under a significant threat from the 29-year-old Kansas City quarterback Mahomes.

Victory would have taken Mahomes to four Super Bowl rings, three behind Brady and all before his 30th birthday in September.
A Chiefs win would have also seen Mahomes clinch a ‘three-peat’ with his team, something Brady never managed in all his time with the New England Patriots and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
Brady played until he was 45, so Mahomes still has plenty of time ahead of him to eclipse the legendary quarterback’s record, even with the 40-22 loss on Sunday.
Brady has also been under scrutiny as an analyst after also becoming a minority owner of the Las Vegas Raiders.
The NFL introduced an array of rules to restrict Brady’s access to other teams as part of his preparations for games across the season, in order to combat allegations of him having a conflict of interest.
