STATEN ISLAND, N.Y. – CrimsonRise, a non-profit organization dedicated to advocating for the communication rights of non-speaking autistic individuals, will host its third annual flagship event, “Turn Up for Communication,” on Sunday, May 4 from 5 to 8 p.m. at Flagship Brewery in Tompkinsville.
The event raises awareness for the estimated 50 million non-speaking autistic individuals worldwide while celebrating local advocates, families, and individuals working to make communication accessible for all.
Tickets are $35, which includes one drink, access to live music, a DJ, food, beer, wine, a 50/50 raffle, and basket raffles.
All proceeds benefit CrimsonRise’s mission to provide inclusive, neurodiverse programs and communication tools to those who need them most.

“We promised our community that we would build an organization that shows up for our nonspeakers,” said Lakshmi Rao Sankar, executive director of CrimsonRise. “This event brings that promise to life—raising support and awareness, one voice at a time.”
