International law firm Perkins Coie has added private funds partner Kerry Potter McCormick to its growing funds practice in New York.

McCormick joins the firm’s corporate and financial regulation practices from Barnes & Thornburg. She was also previously a private funds and products counsel for Apollo Global Management.

McCormick advises private equity funds, hedge funds, real estate funds, credit funds and funds of funds on all aspects of the product life cycle, from early-stage funding and negotiations to wind-downs.

She also counsels fund sponsors and alternative asset managers on the launch and operation of investment structures and products, including private funds, funds of one, managed accounts and co-investment products.

McCormick is the latest private funds partner to join the firm in New York following the addition of private capital and fund formation practice chair Jacquie Duval in June.
