Nexus Rail, operator for the Tyne and Wear Metro, has secured its second consecutive Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) Gold Award, underlining the organisation’s continued commitment to health and safety across its workforce and customers.
The latest recognition marks the second year running that Nexus has received the award, recognising the operator’s commitment to maintaining high safety standards for passengers and staff throughout the Tyne and Wear Metro network.
Now in their 70th year, the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents Awards are regarded as the world’s largest health and safety awards programme, celebrating organisations and individuals that achieve the highest standards in accident prevention. The National Examination Board in Occupational Safety and Health sponsors the awards.
