Katy Perry was a vision in silver for the 2026 World Cup opening ceremony.
The 41-year-old pop star performed her song “Wonder” off her 2024 album 143 during the Parade of Nations before the FIFA World Cup 2026 Group D match between USA and Paraguay at the Los Angeles Stadium in Los Angeles on Friday (June 12).
For the occasion, Katy wore a sequin fringe peplum gown from the Stella McCartney FW26 collection.

She sang alongside 10-year-old Norwegian singer Tius Luka, who sang the opening and closing lines of the song. He recorded the song with her back in 2021 when he was just 5 years old, per a post she shared to her Instagram.
“I heard his voice in 2023 and was inspired to write the verses for ‘Wonder’ and add it to my sixth album. Tius is 10 now and flew all the way to LA from Norway to sing this song with me,” Katy wrote in the text included on the video.

Later, she was spotted sitting in the stands alongside boyfriend Justin Trudeau as the pair watched the game.
Earlier this week, she and Justin made their red carpet debut together at the 2026 Tribeca Festival for the premiere of her new concert film Katy Perry: The Lifetimes Tour – Live in Paris.
