Bitcoin Price Prediction: BTC Tests $65K Trendline as $52K Worst-Case Looms

Bitcoin is testing a months-long descending resistance line near $64,000-$65,000 after two earlier rejections, putting the next daily close in focus. At the same time, a separate weekly chart outlines a deeper downside scenario toward roughly $52,000-$55,000 before any larger recovery, making support and breakout confirmation the key signals to watch.

Bitcoin Tests Descending Trendline After Two Earlier Rejections

Bitcoin is testing a long-running descending resistance line that has already rejected price twice, putting the latest move near $64,765 at an important technical decision point.

The daily chart shared by Ali Charts shows Bitcoin approaching the same downward-sloping trendline that capped two earlier recovery attempts. The line begins near the late-2025 high above $120,000, then connects with another rejection around the $80,000 region in May 2026. Bitcoin is now meeting that resistance again near its current $64,765 level.

That makes the latest test important because the trendline has continued to define the broader sequence of lower highs. So far, each approach has ended with sellers regaining control rather than Bitcoin establishing a sustained breakout.

A third rejection would keep that bearish structure intact. In that scenario, traders would likely watch the recent July lows as the first area where buyers need to defend the market. A move below those lows would strengthen the case that the broader downtrend remains active.

The bullish scenario requires something different from the previous two tests. Bitcoin would need to break above the descending trendline and hold above it on the daily chart rather than briefly moving through resistance and reversing. Follow-through after the breakout would provide stronger confirmation that selling pressure along the trendline is weakening.

The chart does not establish an exact upside target after a breakout, so projecting one would go beyond the information shown. What it does establish clearly is the technical trigger: continued rejection favors the existing downtrend, while a sustained daily breakout would weaken it.

Practical takeaway: Bitcoin is confronting resistance that has controlled price action for months. The reaction around the descending trendline could determine whether $BTC suffers a third rejection or starts breaking the pattern of lower highs.

Bitcoin “Worst-Case” Scenario Puts the $52,000-$55,000 Zone in Focus

A weekly Bitcoin chart shared by TheoTrader outlines a bearish near-term scenario in which $BTC loses its current support area, sweeps deeper liquidity near the low-$50,000s and then stages a broader recovery. The chart presents this as the analyst’s “absolute worst case scenario,” not as a confirmed forecast.

Bitcoin is trading near $64,400 on the chart and remains inside a broad green support zone extending roughly from the mid-$50,000s to the low-$60,000s. That area has already attracted buyers, making it the first major zone that would need to fail for the bearish scenario to develop.

The chart’s projected path shows $BTC briefly breaking beneath that support and testing the horizontal level around $52,000-$53,000. Such a move would resemble a liquidity sweep, where price trades below an established low before attempting to reclaim the lost area. Several earlier points on the chart are marked as SFPs, or swing failure patterns, highlighting similar false-break behavior around important highs and lows.

For bears, confirmation would require more than a temporary dip. A sustained weekly breakdown below the green support zone and especially below the horizontal level near $52,000 would weaken the current structure and increase the risk of deeper losses. The chart itself does not map a lower target beyond that area.

The bullish side of the scenario begins if Bitcoin sweeps the lower support and then quickly reclaims it. From there, the projected candles show a recovery toward the next major resistance zone around $80,000-$83,000. A clean break above that region would strengthen the recovery case and reopen the path toward previous cycle highs.

The longer-term projection ultimately points back toward the $120,000 area and the chart’s marked high near $126,200, but that portion should be treated as a scenario rather than a target supported by current price confirmation.

Practical takeaway: The key level in this chart is the low-$50,000 support region. Holding or reclaiming it would keep the recovery scenario alive, while a sustained weekly loss of that zone would invalidate the setup and leave Bitcoin technically weaker.
