ESG technology and advisory firm Flotilla Group has committed a five-figure investment to launch a new Responsible Investment Gathering series designed for sustainability professionals working within private equity. The year-long initiative moves completely away from traditional panel presentations and corporate sales pitches, replacing them with a monthly programme of relaxed, active, and invite-only wellbeing events.
The campaign focuses on creating informal peer networks for small sustainability teams navigating complex market regulations. Spanning a minimum 12-month horizon, the gathering configurations will blend interactive social formats with dedicated peer discussions, featuring Reformer Pilates breakfast clubs and a newly established private equity padel club.
Corporate Leadership
John Rastrick, CEO of Flotilla Group, said:
ESG professionals are tired of attending the same traditional industry events, where the focus so often returns to presentations and sales pitches. We felt there was a real appetite for something different: informal, energising spaces where people can connect as peers without being sold to.
Responsible investment teams within private equity are often relatively small, but they’re being asked to navigate an increasingly complex agenda. That makes having a strong peer network incredibly valuable. We wanted to create spaces where people can genuinely talk openly about what they’re working through, exchange ideas and experiences they can take back into their own firms, and hopefully spark new thinking and innovation that helps advance ESG across the industry.
That’s why we’re making a significant investment in the series, where there’s deliberately no presentation or sales agenda. Whether we’re bringing people together over Pilates, padel or another activity, the aim is to make collaboration feel natural, and hopefully make responsible investment roles feel a little less siloed in the process.
Exclusive Market Insights and Regional Presence
To deliver continuous strategic value beyond the monthly active sessions, the events will be paired with exclusive, data-driven follow-up intelligence briefs. These insights will leverage Flotilla’s broad private market network to update attendees on shifting regulatory demands, practical corporate ESG governance trends, and emerging sustainability benchmarks across the UK economy.
Operating from corporate offices located across London, Harrogate, and Manchester, Flotilla Group serves as a core technical and data analytics partner helping mid-market businesses translate complex environmental data into commercial outputs. While the agency will directly manage invitations across its client base, interested private equity professionals can request waitlist inclusion by contacting the team directly at events@flotillagroup.com.
