Pinnacle Silver and Gold finds new high-grade polymetallic zones at El Potrero

Pinnacle Silver & Gold Corp (TSX-V:PINN, OTCQB:PSGCF, FRA:P9J) said on Monday continued ground follow-up work at its Potrero project in Durango, Mexico, has led to new discoveries of polymetallic mineralization, including high-grade silver, gold, lead and zinc.

The company said prospecting on the northern El Potrero claim block identified a new series of northeast-trending vein structures, dubbed Minas Nuevas, with assays reaching up to 1,159 grams per tonne (g/t) of silver, alongside 0.25 g/t gold, 4.72% lead and 0.1% zinc over 0.35 metres.

On the Maria Fernanda 2 (MF2) concession, further fieldwork extended the Paulina Breccia zone by about 400 metres along strike, with consistent mineralization including up to 0.23 g/t gold, 50 g/t silver, 0.48% lead and 0.77% zinc over 0.6 metres.

An artisanal mine known as Las Guasimas, located roughly 650 metres southwest of the Paulina Breccia, returned assays of up to 3.21 g/t gold, 349 g/t silver, 3.49% lead and 5.3% zinc from surface samples.

Together, the Paulina Breccia and Las Guasimas areas extend the interpreted strike length of the mineralized system on the MF2 block to approximately 1,100 metres, the company said.

Pinnacle added that initial results from a property-wide airborne LiDAR survey, completed earlier this year, identified numerous previously unrecognized structures and historical workings, including shafts, adits and prospecting pits across the 1,074-hectare project.

Subsequent ground verification has revealed multiple polymetallic veins across both the El Potrero and MF2 claim blocks, suggesting the presence of a broader mineralizing system spanning several kilometres.

The company noted that the newly identified northeast-southwest trending polymetallic veins differ from the northwest-southeast trending gold-silver veins historically mined in the northern portion of the property, potentially indicating a separate phase of hydrothermal activity.

Follow-up mapping, sampling and prospecting are ongoing, with additional assay results pending from laboratory analysis in Durango.

“These exciting discoveries of high-grade gold-silver-lead-zinc mineralization not only validate the effectiveness of the LiDAR survey, but are demonstrating the district scale potential of the mineralizing system at El Potrero,” Pinnacle CEO Robert Archer said.

“As all four of the operating mines surrounding the project are polymetallic, and the Au-Ag-Pb-Zn veins at the Topia Mine are just 4 kilometres away from MF2, finding this style of mineralization across the Potrero property just underscores how prolific this area really is.”
