The TR Go for Gold Awards is inviting travel retail industry feedback on four proposed new standards.
As reported, the awards were launched by former Travel Retail Training and Inflight Sales Person of the Year (ISPY) event Managing Director Christine Martin last year and made their debut at the 2023 TFWA World Exhibition in Cannes.
Martin’s aim is to develop TR Go for Gold into industry recognised standards, acknowledging best practice and excellence across selected categories within the channel. Entries are graded according to their overall score from appointed judges.
“Following on from the highly successful launch of TR GO for GOLD in 2023, we have now reached the second phase of its transition from ‘awards’ to recognised and celebrated travel retail industry standards,” Martin said.
The four proposed standards are:
- Established TR products (for products which have been available in TR since 2021)
- Iconic TR products (for products which been available in TR since 2014)
- Innovative TR products
- TR Product Launches
“We have made every effort to make the provision of information as simple as possible by enabling entries to upload unlimited screenshots and images of any size wherever possible,” Martin added. “This vastly reduces the amount of work usually required when entering a traditional award.
“The proposed standards have reached the industry consultation phase of their development, and so we are now ready to invite your feedback. Each standard has between three and four units and at the end of each unit there is a feedback box to make providing feedback quick and easy to do.”
