Protein sourcing and processing were central to BigMuscles Nutrition’s Benchmark Series when we covered the premium family earlier this year, and don’t forget its added digestive support. The Indian brand is now bringing renewed attention to what goes into its wider protein selection. Premium Gold Whey has been reworked following consumer feedback, with a cleaner approach and refreshed branding.
The natural sweetener stevia handles the sweetness in the updated Premium Gold Whey, alongside some Himalayan salt and pineapple-derived bromelain for added digestion. BigMuscles now uses European-sourced whey, specifically a blend of isolate and concentrate, to provide 25g of protein per scoop. The carbohydrates are more moderate at 5g with low sugar, less than 2g of fat, and around 130 calories.
BigMuscles says every batch of the revamped Premium Gold Whey undergoes independent testing at NABL-accredited laboratories, making protein accuracy and quality a key part of the evolution. Premium Gold Whey is listed on the brand’s website in 1kg and 2kg sizes, at ₹2,699 and ₹5299.00 (55.16 USD), respectively, and with a flavor selection including Belgian Chocolate, Vanilla Creme, and Mango Magic.
