The Olympic Gold Medalist Kauli Vaast put on a powerful backhand display to post an excellent 8.00 over 2025 Rookie of the Year Marco Mignot. Mignot’s last-ditch effort earned a 7.87 and just shy of the requirement, sending Vaast to his first Quarterfinal appearance in 2026.
