Magellan Financial co-founder Chris Mackay is raiding staff from his former firm to expand his investment team, as the funds management group moves away from its stock-picking roots ahead of its merger with investment bank Barrenjoey.
Mackay’s MFF Capital Investments was born out of the Magellan Flagship Fund that was spun off into a separate listed investment company in 2013, before a rebranding and operational restructure in 2016.
