AMARILLO, Texas (KAMR/KCIT) — The Better Business Bureau of Amarillo and the Texas Panhandle honored businesses in the area at the 2024 Torch Awards for Ethics Celebration on Friday.
According to BBB, three local businesses were awarded Torch Awards, competing in separate categories, including Small Business, Medium Business, and Large Business. BBB added that Chris Rhynehart was awarded the Excellence in Community Service Award, and 16 companies were also honored with the President’s Award.
BBB announced the following businesses as winners of the Torch Awards for Ethics competition:

Officials explained that winners of the Torch Awards for Ethics were businesses who entered the competition and “Addressed details on how their leadership focuses on Character, Culture, Customers and Community.”
Rhynehart, who was awarded the 2024 Excellence in Community Service award, was honored for his tireless and outstanding work in the community, according to BBB.

“It’s important to recognize these milestones for the companies and also as a way to educate consumers to do business with good, reputable companies who care about their customers,” said Janna Kiehl, BBB President. This is the very beginning of consumer education – making sure the community is prepared to do business conscientiously.”
BBB explained that the President’s Award honors businesses for their longevity of upholding BBB Standards for Trust for 25 years or more.
