This milestone confirms that Telecom Egypt has met all eligibility criteria to join this segment. Driven by the stock reaching new highs, the Company’s market capitalization rose to approximately USD 3.9 billion—clearing the minimum threshold required for Mid Cap inclusion by a wide margin.

The transition clearly reflects improved liquidity, stronger cash flows, and robust financial and operational performance. It stands as a direct result of the Company’s strategy to accelerate cash generation and maintain disciplined financial management through the efficient utilization of resources and capital allocation toward high-return opportunities.

Furthermore, moving into the Mid Cap segment strengthens Telecom Egypt’s appeal as an investment opportunity, enabling it to leverage inflows from index-tracking international funds. This change may supports trading volumes Company’s visibility and credibility among global institutional investors.

This advancement also elevates the standing of the Egyptian Exchange (EGX) within the global capital markets landscape. It highlights the EGX’s ongoing advisory and guidance services for listed companies, as well as its continuous commitment to enhancing their competitiveness and strengthening their positioning in global indices.

The FTSE Russell emerging markets Index currently includes only three Egyptian companies, including Telecom Egypt. As one of the world’s premier index providers, FTSE Russell tracks large- and mid-cap stocks across global emerging markets, serving as a critical benchmark for major investment funds and institutions to direct portfolio allocation. Inclusion is subject to a strict set of requirements, including market capitalization, liquidity, trading volumes, and free-float standards.

Tamer El Mahdi, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer

I am pleased to celebrate this new milestone, which reflects the strength of Telecom Egypt’s performance, the resilience of its financial position, and the discipline of its capital management—namely, the Company’s move into the Mid Cap segment within one of the world’s leading financial indices, the FTSE Russell emerging markets Index. This upgrade represents international recognition of what we have achieved in terms of sustainable growth, financial discipline, and our ability to create real, long-term value for our shareholders and investors. This achievement is the result of the continued efforts of our executive management and team, the confidence of our shareholders, and the strong support of our partners. It directly reflects our commitment to best practices and to strengthening the Company’s competitiveness and standing in both local and global markets. Moving forward, we look forward to building on this success as we continue our growth journey and enhance the long-term value to our shareholders and investors.
