Chad Allen, accomplished transportation strategist with over two decades of industry expertise, joins HNTB
Chad Allen, PE has joined HNTB as a transportation asset management practice consultant. Allen will leverage his extensive expertise to help HNTB’s clients make performance-based, risk-based and data-driven decisions while delivering positive and equitable outcomes for surrounding communities.
“Chad’s vast experience in asset management and his proven leadership in developing performance-based and data-driven solutions will greatly benefit our clients,” said Jeff Siegel, GISP, HNTB digital transformation solutions director and senior vice president. “Moreover, his insights will play a pivotal role in advising clients on the selection and prioritization of sustainable infrastructure investments.”
As an asset management practice consultant, Allen will be instrumental in developing strategies and frameworks to support asset management and risk management initiatives. He brings an impressive track record to his new position, having most recently managed the Asset and Performance Management Program at the Seattle Department of Transportation. Prior to his role at SDOT, Allen was director of the Asset Management Bureau at the Vermont Agency of Transportation, where he led the development and implementation of platforms and approaches to meet federal MAP-21 requirements.
Allen holds a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in civil engineering from the University of Vermont. He is a licensed professional engineer and a certified public manager.
