The gradual normalization of foreign investment in property, after an explosive three years, is expected to affect the housing market as a whole, as dependence on domestic demand should increase, a tall order in today’s economic conditions.
To date, thanks to high demand from abroad, a large increase in sales prices has been observed, especially in areas such as the center of Athens, the southern suburbs and popular holiday destinations.
According to Bank of Greece figures, from 2017, when the downward course of the market was completed, and until 2025, prices in Attica have posted a total rise of 104.5%.
