SYDNEY, Australia — Representatives from the Australian Army, U.S. Army, U.S. Marine Corps, Japan Ground Self-Defense Force, Philippine Army, and Philippine Marine Corps convened in Sydney this week for a Land Forces Dialogue (LFD) Staff Working Group, advancing planning efforts and strengthening multinational coordination in support of future LFD activities across the Indo-Pacific.

The working group provided an opportunity for planners to synchronize priorities, refine upcoming engagements, and develop collaborative approaches that strengthen interoperability among allies and partners. Through detailed staff-level discussions, participants translated senior leader guidance into practical initiatives designed to deepen military cooperation and enhance regional readiness.

The Land Forces Dialogue serves as a premier forum for allied and partner land forces to plan together and develop solutions to shared challenges. By aligning strategic priorities and fostering collaboration among participating armies and marine forces, the dialogue strengthens professional relationships, advances collective problem-solving, and reinforces stability across the Indo-Pacific.

The continued collaboration among the land forces of Australia, Japan, the Philippines, and the United States reflects a shared commitment to building enduring professional relationships and enhancing the ability of allied and partner forces to operate together in an increasingly complex security environment.

Through persistent engagement and deliberate planning, the Land Forces Dialogue continues to strengthen the partnerships that underpin peace, stability, and deterrence across the Indo-Pacific.
