Energy company National Grid is aware of multiple power outages affecting 145 properties in Bussage last week.
A cable fault on the company’s low-voltage network is causing fuses to fail at a substation in the area.
Engineers from the business are undertaking investigations to identify the exact location of the fault so a permanent repair can be made.
Until this happens, it is reportedly not possible to perform a targeted repair.
National Grid wants to avoid unnecessarily excavating roads and is actively monitoring the network to find the source of the problem so repairs can be focused where they are required.
The company has installed extra equipment at the substation to help keep customers on supply while this work continues.
A National Grid Electricity Distribution spokesperson said: “We know customers in Bussage will be frustrated by these repeated power cuts, and we’re sorry for the disruption caused.
“Our engineers are continuing to investigate the fault and have installed additional equipment at the substation to help keep customers on supply while this work continues.
“We’d like to thank customers for their patience as we work towards a permanent repair.”
Under Great Britain energy regulator Ofgem’s Guaranteed Standards of Performance, customers who experience supply interruptions of three hours or more on four or more separate occasions within a 12-month period may be able to receive a £95 payment.
Customers need to submit a claim directly to National Grid if they believe this applies to them as claims of this kind are not applied automatically.
