AHMEDABAD, India — Adani Group and Jabil Inc. plan to form a strategic alliance to manufacture AI data center infrastructure hardware in India, including liquid-cooled AI racks, servers, storage, networking systems and related power and thermal management equipment.
The companies said the proposed alliance would establish a vertically integrated manufacturing platform for AI and data center infrastructure. The platform would combine Jabil’s engineering, supply chain and manufacturing capabilities with Adani Group’s infrastructure, energy, logistics and data center operations.
The companies said the platform is intended to support gigawatt-scale AI rack manufacturing capacity in India for global hyperscalers, colocation facilities and enterprise data centers. Manufacturing would include surface-mount technology and complex box-build processes for liquid-cooled AI racks, servers, storage and networking systems.
The planned platform also would include production of power distribution units, coolant distribution units, transformers, switchgear, bus bars and thermal management systems. The companies said the goal is to provide a design-to-deployment hardware ecosystem for data center infrastructure builders.
India’s data center market is expected to reach 5 to 8 gigawatts of capacity by 2030, according to the companies. The release also cited more than $50 billion in planned investment across data center, cloud and AI ecosystems in India.
The companies said the proposed alliance is intended to support domestic hardware manufacturing, data sovereignty requirements and global exports of AI infrastructure equipment.
“This strategic collaboration with Adani Group is another step forward in our efforts to create long-term value for customers throughout the AI ecosystem by offering scalable solutions across the product lifecycle,” said Mike Dastoor, CEO of Jabil. “By combining Jabil’s more than sixty years of engineering expertise and advanced manufacturing capabilities with Adani’s formidable infrastructure and energy platform, we can expect to execute down to the rack level for hyperscalers and enterprises here in India and across the globe.”
