Plans have been submitted to build nine homes on unused land beside a landmark pub.

Developers want to build nine houses on a plot between The Three Sisters and Hubbards Cottages in Otterham Quay Lane, Upchurch.

The proposal seeks permission in principle for the residential development on 1.8 acres of land near the junction with Lower Rainham Road. Access would be from Otterham Quay Lane.

It is just one set of plans submitted to Swale council this week.

Others include one from Electric Land Ltd, which wants to change part of its already-approved plans to build battery units on land west of Barge Way opposite the Kemsley Fields business park near Sittingbourne.

If the changes are given the green light, the developer would build 46 smaller battery units instead of 30 between the Swale Way and Fleet End roundabouts.

The new batteries would be smaller in footprint and in height than those previously proposed.
