Wallet provider Phantom announced that it would be sunsetting Sui support from 24 September 2026, less than 20 months after announcing its integration with the project. This means that Sui balances cannot be viewed, tokens cannot be sent or swapped, and Sui DApps cannot be accessed via Phantom’s interface from that date onward.

It does not affect SUI▲$0.7718 ownership or other assets on the network, which remain on chain in Sui blockchain and in the respective wallet, and are still controlled by the respective recovery phrase or private key. Phantom did not provide any technical, security, or commercial reasoning for the removal of the integration, and there was no network breach.
Sui was the first Move programming language blockchain to have native support on Phantom. Phantom announced native support for Sui in January 2025, which includes native support for Sui and other network tokens, cross-chain trading, and cross-chain services and apps like Suilend, Bluefin, and NAVI Protocol. These functions will be removed from Phantom after the deadline, and current dApp connections will no longer work.
Users who want to retain their native Sui assets can migrate their wallet into another Sui-compatible app using the appropriate recovery phrase or private key. Phantom team recommends Slush as a migration option. If the correct credentials are restored, you will have access to the same Sui address and associated assets, but imported keys or other recovery phrases must be restored separately.

Alternatively, users might exchange Sui assets for tokens on networks Phantom intends to continue to support. The wallet temporarily waives its fee on cross-chain swaps from native SUI into wrapped SUI on the Solana network through Sept. 24. Note: other fees may still apply. Wrapped SUI is a tokenized SUI version on Solana’s network, and before confirming a transaction for it, the network and token contract must be validated.
There is no deadline for claiming ownership of assets. Users who failed to claim ownership by Sept. 24 will be able to recover assets via a compatible Sui wallet. This is the cutoff for Phantom’s interface, Sui functionality, and a temporary waiver for swap fees, not the underlying blockchain deposits.
Phantom has warned that during the migration, support staff will never contact users first, never ask for a Secret Recovery Phrase, and never ask for funds to be transferred. As a result, unsolicited migration help, wallet downloads, or websites asking for recovery information should be considered phishing attempts.

Phantom will no longer directly move, swap, or sell any Sui funds beginning September 24. Phantom users who intend to stay in Sui may wish to port their assets on or before that date to verify wallet access and balances. Users who wish to leave Sui Network via Phantom must perform all eligible in-app swaps prior to the cut-off date.
