Both the railway infrastructure and tunnel construction sectors are set to continue their growth trajectory at InnoTrans 2026, reflecting increasing global demand for modern transport infrastructure and the closer integration of both industries.

Taking place between 22–25 September at the Berlin Exhibition Ground; InnoTrans 2026 has now been confirmed to feature almost 600 exhibitors, occupying more than 32,000 square metres of exhibition space and representing a 5% increase in exhibitors compared with the 2024 edition.

The event will see companies and organisations from across the world showcase their innovations in digital planning and monitoring systems, advanced construction techniques, and sustainable solutions for tunnel construction and infrastructure management.

Companies set to exhibit include FOGTEC, Orascom Construction, Vossloh, Voestalpine, Pandrol, PORR, Leonhard Weiss, Plasser & Theurer, Schwihag, Zitron and CFT Compact Filtertechnik.

InnoTrans Director Kerstin Schulz said:

The close interconnection between the two segments reflects the current challenges and developments in the transport sector.

The rising number of Exhibitors at InnoTrans underlines the importance of modern infrastructure projects worldwide.

This year’s InnoTrans will also feature the debut of the International Tunnel Forums, organised by STUVA (Studiengesellschaft für Tunnel- und Verkehrsanlagen e.V.). The first forum, entitled Tunnels – The Key to Ecology and Quality of Life, will seek to examine how underground infrastructure might contribute to sustainable transport, efficient land use and more liveable cities; whilst the second forum will focus on “Digitalization and Artificial Intelligence (AI) in Tunnel Construction and Operation,” exploring the use of AI, digital technologies and data-driven processes throughout the planning, construction and operational lifecycle of tunnel projects.

Finally, this year’s event will see the launch of the European Network of Infrastructure Managers (ENIM), a new association bringing together railway infrastructure managers and allocation bodies from across Europe to strengthen collaboration and address the shared challenges of network expansion, maintenance and the future development of rail infrastructure.
