TSX-listed Predictive Discovery (PDI) has reported that its Kiniero gold mine, in Guinea, delivered an outstanding operational performance during the quarter ended June 30.

The company reports that the operation achieved an average plant throughput of 1 113 t an hour, or about nine-million tonnes a year – well above the six-million tonnes a year nameplate capacity – with gold recovery having improved to 90.5%, demonstrating continued process optimisation and strong plant performance.

The company notes that mining operations at Kiniero continued to perform strongly during the quarter, supporting sustained mill throughput above nameplate capacity and consistent processing performance.

Kiniero milled 2.2-million tonnes of ore at an average grade of 0.86 g/t gold to pour 54 252 oz of gold.

Additionally, the company’s Nampala gold mine, in southern Mali, milled 450 000 t of ore at an average grade of 0.71 g/t gold to pour 9 774 oz of gold.

The company notes that combined gold poured from Kiniero and Nampala was 64 026 oz of gold during the June quarter. The company also reports cash and bullion as at June 30 of A$530-million, or $365-million.

PDI says it will provide a comprehensive update of activities in its June quarterly report, to be released later this month.
