Nigerian Fintech Pouchers Raises USD 500 K Pre-Seed To Expand Stablecoin Payments

Nigerian fintech Pouchers has raised USD 500 K in pre-seed funding led by Stack Directory LLC, a Dubai-based internet investment company, with participation from strategic angel investors.

Founded by Ayo Adewuyi, the Nigeria-based stablecoin payments platform helps Nigerians receive, hold, and spend money globally.

Its products include digital dollar wallets that support USDT and USDC, as well as virtual dollar cards for international spending. The funding comes as Pouchers exits beta and enters its next growth phase, with plans to expand its cross-border payments infrastructure, launch foreign currency accounts, strengthen partnerships, and reach more users.

The company is targeting freelancers, remote workers, entrepreneurs, and professionals who earn from international clients and face challenges with cross-border payments, currency conversion, and access to foreign financial accounts.
