Former President Donald Trump has boasted about how successful his new gold sneakers are, which retailed for $399 a pair.
The new sneakers from Trump, which the former president showed off at Sneaker Con last week, sold out only a few hours after their debut at the show. Trump has since then shown off how popular his “Never Surrender High-Tops” are, posting on social media that the sneakers are “sold out.”
Trump also shared a post showing how the sneakers are selling for a fortune on resale sites such as eBay, posting a story that stated one pair of his shoes sold for $450,000.
When visiting eBay, multiple listings are currently live for people to purchase, ranging from over $1,000 to up to $200,000.
The website where Trump sold his gold sneakers also lists a couple of other pairs of shoes that are up for preorder, one colored red and the other white. On the sides of both pairs, they include the letter “T,” for Trump, and the number 45, referencing Trump serving as the 45th president.

Other items listed for preorder on the website are cologne and perfume, which go by the name “Victory47.” The cologne bottle features a golden head modeled after Trump, while the top of the perfume bottle has a golden T.
The release of Trump’s gold sneakers spurred multiple jokes that President Joe Biden, who is running for reelection, ought to launch his own shoe line to compete with the former president. Biden and Trump, who is also running for president again, could very well be in for a rematch between each other this November should they win the nominations from both of their respective parties.
