Orangeburg County has witnessed a lot of activity while navigating through global disparities and challenging times but steadfastly advancing in economic development.
I want to take a moment to acknowledge the significant job losses that have impacted our community during these unprecedented times since COVID-19.
Amid these challenges, our community has pressed forward, announcing five projects since last year. These include the addition of three new companies, the expansion of an existing industry and the groundbreaking of a new speculative building. Despite the economic uncertainties we face, Orangeburg County continues to take proactive steps to address these challenges head-on.
