New Economics Courses in Collaboration with MIT

The courses were selected from the DEDP (MicroMasters Program in Data, Economics, and Design of Policy), which features lectures by world-class economists, including Nobel laureates Esther Duflo and Abhijit Banerjee.

The courses will be delivered using an innovative blended learning (flipped classroom) format. Students will review lecture materials and complete assignments on the MITx platform, while seminars will be conducted in person by SGH faculty. Due to the high workload, each course will be worth 6 ECTS credits.

Thanks to SGH’s collaboration with MIT and ADEPT (Alliance for Data, Evaluation, and Policy Training), these courses are free for our students. Furthermore, in addition to earning course credits at SGH, participants will also receive MITx certificates, which can be a significant asset in their further education, particularly when applying for master’s or doctoral programs in the United States.

For students majoring in Applied Economics (undergraduate program) and Economics (master’s program), these courses count toward major requirements; however, enrollment is open to all SGH students.

We invite you to participate and take advantage of this unique opportunity to study in an international academic environment.

Professor Łukasz Woźny, Department of Quantitative Economics, Collegium of Economic Analysis
