Coutts will be able to offer benefits such as providing clients with wealth protection and a more stable return stream over cash markets.
Coutts has just
launched its new Coutts Diversifying Alternatives Multi-Manager
Fund in partnership with JP Morgan Asset Management (JPMAM).
This liquid alternatives solution, which is available exclusively
to Coutts and NatWest clients, will provide an “innovative
solution for investors,” the firm said in a statement earlier
this week.
The fund has been designed to generate returns with low
sensitivity to traditional markets. It uses managed account
technology, offering critical diversification benefits, and a
customised experience, acting as a complement within a
multi-asset portfolio.
Coutts clients will benefit from additional diversification
within a traditional equity/bond portfolio, offering a
differentiated return profile with low correlation to other
financial markets. Other benefits include providing clients with
wealth protection and a more stable return stream over cash
markets.
The partnership will combine the strength and reach of both
investment houses, leveraging JPMAM’s track record in third-party
alternatives investing, and clients will have access to a
highly-experienced portfolio management team, representing some
of the most experienced alternative asset managers in the hedge
fund industry, the firm added.
This latest development supports Coutts’ strategy of being
“brilliant for clients,” making sure that it is innovative and
provides best-in-class products, the UK bank said.
“We are always looking for ways to enhance the service we offer
to clients, and to build on our track record of delivering first
class products. This exciting partnership allows us to achieve
that ambition,” Fahad Kamal, chief investment officer, Coutts
said. “The scale and global reach of JP Morgan Asset Management’s
platforms means that clients will have access to a global asset
management team and to market-leading tools.”
“The new strategy forms part of a broader strategic partnership
between Coutts and JPMAM, founded on building timely and relevant
investment solutions and the sharing of investment insights,
particularly through the JPMAM Market Insights programme,” Claude
Kurzo, UK country head at JP Morgan Asset Management, said.
