Watling Real Estate has appointed Tom Martin as a surveyor in its London office.
Martin joins Watling from Avison Young’s Birmingham office where he qualified as a chartered surveyor having been part of the firm’s first intake of apprentice surveyors in the UK in 2022.
In his new role, he will work alongside director Ian Whittaker in Watling’s capital market team, supporting the national business across agency and transactional service lines.
Nathan Pask, joint managing director of Watling, said: “We continue to build our team in London and across our regional offices and are delighted to have successfully recruited Tom to our growing business. His experience and achievements, having qualified as a chartered surveyor via the apprenticeship route, provide him with a fantastic platform to further develop his career while supporting and growing our national client base.”
Martin added: “Watling Real Estate has built an impressive position in the market over the past three years, bringing together individuals of an extremely high calibre who operate at the very top of their respective markets. The firm has developed a client base and secured mandates that any of the top surveying practices would be proud of. For me, joining Watling represents a significant opportunity to work alongside some of the best people in the industry and to play a key role in developing and growing the transactional-led areas of the business.”
