See day trading examples from the one-minute chart in EURUSD on Sept. 11, 2026. This video looks at context for trades, levels, and also murky or sandy areas on the chart. A “level” isn’t always a specific or single price…it can be an area where price chopped around, or where price has reversed more than once (at slightly different prices, creating the area).
Such areas often act like sand. Price is running, then it hits those sandy areas and tends to get a little choppy…the sand tends to bog price down. It may reverse, get choppy, or blow through. We can’t know in advance, but we do know that often price struggles and whips around these levels. That can spell trouble if a stop loss is close by, or our target is still a ways away.
The nice thing is that before you take a trade, you can look to the left for these sandy areas. If our target is deep into one of these sandy areas, or price has to go through a sandy area to hit that target, expect frustration quite often. Avoid such frustration by noting these sandy areas and adjusting targets or not trading accordingly.
As always, trading is an individual sport, and you need to find and do what works for you. Take what you like, and leave the rest.
