HDFC Securities launches Algorithmic Trading Strategies

Mumbai, 5th Aug’26: HDFC Securities Limited, one of India’s leading brokerage firms, has launched a curated suite of algorithmic trading strategies on its InvestRight and HDFC SKY platforms. The offering provides 16 ready-to-use models (six for equity and ten for F&O) that enable clients to automate their trades based on predefined rules, without needing to build strategies or code on their own.

With this launch, HDFC Securities aims to democratize access to systematic investing and trading tools that were traditionally available only to advanced or institutional participants. The strategies draw on rule-based approaches such as trend-following, mean reversion, and momentum, and are designed to help investors cut out emotion, follow a disciplined process, and respond faster to changing market conditions.

Available via the InvestRight app and web platform as well as the HDFC SKY discount broking platform, the White Box Algo strategies can be discovered, reviewed, and activated in just a few steps. Users can search and filter strategies by segment, trading experience, and style, view back-tested performance snapshots, risk indicators, and key parameters, and then allocate capital to the strategy of their choice. Once activated, orders are generated and executed automatically as per the underlying model, while investors retain full visibility and control over their portfolios.

Commenting on the launch, Dhiraj Relli, MD & CEO, HDFC Securities said, “Our customers increasingly seek intelligent tools that help them navigate volatile markets with discipline and speed. By introducing a curated marketplace of model-based strategies across equity and F&O, we are giving them access to institutional-style capabilities on the same trusted platforms they already use. Clients can now explore, compare, and deploy ready strategies in minutes, while we take care of the heavy lifting on technology, execution, and compliance.”

The White Box Algo strategies offering is powered by AlgoBulls, a SEBI-compliant quant trading infrastructure partner that specializes in building, testing, and operating algorithmic models for Indian brokers and their clients. The underlying infrastructure adheres to global information security standards and uses dedicated compute for execution, helping ensure robust performance and operational resilience.

Key benefits to HDFC Securities and HDFC SKY clients include:

  • Access to a ready inventory of professionally built, pre-tested strategies across equity and F&O segments
  • The ability to review strategy characteristics before activation
  • Fully automated execution once a strategy is enabled, reducing the need for constant market monitoring
  • A simple, guided experience on both InvestRight and HDFC SKY, integrated with existing trading and portfolio views.

The launch is in line with HDFC Securities’ broader focus on enhancing its digital platforms with intelligent tools for analysis, execution, and risk management. Over the past few years, the company has introduced advanced charting, options analytics, portfolio optimization, and educational content to help clients make more informed decisions. The addition of White Box Algo strategies builds on this foundation by giving traders and investors a convenient way to put algorithmic models to work, directly from their preferred HDFC Securities interface.

The White Box Algo strategies are now live for eligible HDFC Securities and HDFC SKY clients, subject to applicable terms and risk disclosures. Investors can log in to the InvestRight or HDFC SKY platforms, navigate to the algorithmic strategies section, and start exploring the catalogue right away.
