Is TTD a good stock to buy? We came across a bullish thesis on The Trade Desk, Inc. on r/ValueInvesting by NathanGuoKL. In this article, we will summarize the bulls’ thesis on TTD. The Trade Desk, Inc.’s share was trading at $19.43 as of June 8th. TTD’s trailing and forward P/E were 23.90 and 18.94 respectively according to Yahoo Finance.

The Trade Desk, Inc. operates as a technology company in the United States and internationally. TTD is currently trading at $23.55, compared to an estimated intrinsic value of $49.26 based on FCFF revenue assumptions, implying substantial upside and a market-implied free cash flow growth rate of just 0.92%, which appears overly pessimistic. The market is increasingly pricing in a negative narrative driven by the Publicis dispute, assuming it signals a broader agency revolt, margin compression, and a structural break in programmatic advertising and CTV growth.

However, this interpretation appears excessive relative to the underlying fundamentals. Publicis does represent a near-term risk, as TTD disclosed that two holding companies each account for more than 10% of gross billings and together represent roughly 30%, with Publicis believed to be one of them, creating a potential short-term revenue headwind. Nonetheless, management has indicated that the issue resembles a billing and audit disagreement rather than evidence of a broken business model or failed audit, suggesting the headline risk may be overstated.

Beyond this, there are emerging catalysts, including early reports that OpenAI has begun testing advertising within ChatGPT, with TTD potentially involved, which could open a new high-value ad inventory channel and re-rate sentiment. Additionally, CEO Jeff Green’s purchase of approximately six million shares, representing about $148 million of personal capital invested near multi-year lows, signals insider conviction.

Taken together, while near-term uncertainty persists, the current valuation appears to embed an overly harsh scenario that assumes structural deterioration rather than temporary disruption, leaving room for meaningful upside as sentiment normalizes and growth expectations re-rate higher.

Previously, we covered a bullish thesis on The Trade Desk, Inc. (TTD) by FckYouMoney in May 2025, which highlighted strong digital advertising leadership, UID2.0 and secular tailwinds in connected TV and privacy-first advertising. TTD’s stock price has depreciated by approximately 64.99% since our coverage. NathanGuoKL shares a similar bullish view but emphasizes FCFF-based intrinsic value and Publicis-related headline risk alongside emerging catalysts such as ChatGPT advertising and insider buying.
