Pokemon Fans Are Getting Their Orders Canceled Over Scalping

Pokemon fans are being notified that their orders for Pokemon TCG‘s 30th Celebration set are being canceled, and it’s because of scalpers. Pokemon TCG has been dealing with a major scalping problem for a long time now, and despite various techniques used by official sellers and shops, nothing seems to be stopping the issue in its tracks. Instead, all Pokemon TCG products are becoming ever more expensive and hard to find, to the point that some fans never get their hands on an entire set unless they spend more than double the MSRP.

A Pokemon TCG fan can’t believe their luck when they check under the shelves at a retail store and discover a hidden cache of cards.

Fans have been reporting that their orders for Pokemon TCG’s 30th Celebration set are being canceled by Pokemon Center, which is allegedly targeting bot accounts but is now affecting many collectors. It’s unclear whether those who are getting their orders canceled are casualties in the war against scalpers or if Pokemon Center left the queue for pre-orders open for too long, to the point that 30th Celebration products were oversold on the site. Either scenario is a symptom of the same…
