Riot Games has announced the ticketing schedule and process for the 2026 League of Legends World Championship, which will be held in the United States this October. To prevent fraud and improve the experience for genuine fans, this year’s sale will feature a pre-sale process exclusively for Riot ID holders.
A ‘Fan First Verification’ system is being introduced to block automated programs used for scalping and other illicit ticketing activities. Only users who register and verify their Riot ID during the pre-registration period will be granted access to the pre-sale; verification requires that the email address used matches the one registered to the Riot ID.
Pre-registration will be open for approximately one month, from 12:00 AM KST on June 2 to 12:00 AM KST on July 1. The pre-sale for verified users will begin at 12:00 AM on July 23, with general ticket sales opening two days later at 12:00 AM on July 25.
A total of 19 teams from six regions around the world will participate in this year’s World Championship. Three teams each will represent South Korea, North America, Asia-Pacific, EMEA, and China, while two teams have been allocated to Brazil. The final lineup will be completed by the winner of the 2026 MSI and one additional team from the second-place region.
The tournament will run for approximately one month starting October 15 (local time). The Play-In stage will take place from October 15 to 18 at the Riot Games Arena in Los Angeles, California.
The Swiss Stage and Knockout Stage will follow at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas, from October 23 to November 8. The finals will be held on November 14 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York.
