Al-Yamama Company for Trading & Contracting has been awarded an infrastructure role and the Humain AI data center campus in Riyadh. The endeavor shows that the project is making strides. However, Humain has not revealed the amount of the contract and the total cost of the project. This is not a budget for the $10 billion of investments announced separately in AMD. The package was also tendered by the Public Investment Fund (PIF) owned company in May.

Al-Yamama’s selection is for a project which is on top of the list of those that have undergone an early contractor involvement process, not a definite award for all construction works. Another Humain data center making headway is the 250MW campus. MIS has inked a new deal with HUMAIN to expand the AI-driven data center capacity from 50 megawatts to 250 megawatts. The contract value is more than SAR 2.33 billion (USD 638.21 billion), which is 689 percent of Al Moammar Information Systems Company (MIS) total revenue for 2025 of SAR 1.27 billion (USD 338.21 billion).

Scope of Implementation on the Humain AI Data Center in Riyadh

Infrastructure scope on the Humain AI data center in Riyadh includes electrical distribution, water networks, roads and also fibre-optic connections. It has two substations (500MVA, 200MVA), and a bulk supply point (2,000MVA). It also includes  wastewater treatment, stormwater drainage, fire protection and landscaping. The site of the campus is planned to be located in 24 square kilometres area in Al-Saad, east Riyadh. The project will also be executed in two stages with six plots.

What happens once the contractor is chosen?

The early contractor involvement model requires the selected companies to provide construction methods and design proposals. Later on, Humain will then choose a team to deliver the works. Meanwhile, Hatch, Egis and JLL are helping the client. The award is also a recognition of the progress in the site’s enabling infrastructure. However, the final construction appointment and confirmed project budget has not been announced.
